ARTIST STATEMENT
As a designer, I choose to create work with the purpose of bringing awareness to underrepresented, marginalized social groups and also to social movements. I believe that we as people should be a bit more socially aware and respectful. For this reason, I often target “hot-button” issues such as sexuality, equality, social norms, and gender roles in my work. These issues have also influenced my style. My style consists of bold shapes, textures, typography and layering. I create digital illustrations and infographics to engage the audience with not only critical issues in society but also with pop culture as a whole. What makes my artwork different from others is my aesthetic. Through the use of pop art, color, contrast and shape, I bring a unique perspective to the controversial topics displayed in my designs.
